The US Census Bureau has once again named the Ocala Metro as America’s fastest growing area. This news comes on the heels of other important indicators by web sites such as U-Haul, PODS, and Moving Trends.

The 2025 report, which tracks population shifts between July 1, 2024, and July 1, 2025, shows Ocala topping the national list for percentage growth among all metro areas.
As of July 1, 2025, the population of Ocala was estimated at 442,660. That represents an increase of 3.4% over the previously reported figure of 427,995.
With this influx of new residents in Marion County, the need for commercial space is also growing. All the new residents need carpenters, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, roofers etc… and Boyd Real Estate should be the first place any small business look for to buy or lease space in Ocala!
